Paradise Private Hospital – A Home-Grown Success Story
Paradise Private Hospital, the parent company of Soidal Medical Supplies Limited, became Papua New Guinea’s first nationally owned private hospital in 2014. Its 100% acquisition by Namatanai natives, Dr. Robin Sios OBE and Mrs. Janet Sios, marks a significant milestone for the Sios family, the health sector, and the 10 million people of PNG.
Today, the hospital operates as a 40-bed facility featuring:
- A maternity wing
- Two private rooms
- A high-dependency unit
- A corporate VIP clinic and cardiac investigations unit
It serves 50,000 outpatients annually and employs 123 medical and support staff.

The company is led by General Manager Mr. Phil Vali, a registered pharmacist, supported by a team of four. Soidal aims to expand operations and create more job opportunities for Papua New Guineans as part of its growth strategy.
