INBODY 580 Core Measurement Capabilities

1. The InBody 580 provides body composition analysis.
   • It analyses and breaks down the body into total body water, protein, minerals, fat mass and skeletal mass
2. It evaluates the segmental distribution of body mass – allowing measurement of both limbs and trunk separately
   • This helps identify imbalances in muscle or fat distribution

How it works

1. The client takes their height and weight on the associated Stadiometer
2. The client is asked to stand on the Inbody 580 scanner, barefoot and in loose clothing with no metal implants or devices on his/her body
3. Their feet make contact with electrodes on the stand and they are asked to hold the two hand electrodes, ensuring to have their arms away from the body
4. The InBody 580 performs the scan by passing a low impedance current through the electrodes. It uses the measured current levels to calculate the composition of the body.
